A single sound followed by a silence is the atom of music.
Music is the sum of many of these atoms, not necessarily following the same clock.


About this piece

The piece explores the possibilities of periodic pointillism, but is polluted by musical material generated by chance and design, and by spoken commentaries.
Some of the commentaries concern the construction of the piece, which happened as a series of layered versions, with new material added each time. (Ten mixes were made in total.)
